BCF Goes to Village: Visits to Desa Hall in North Bali, Songan, and Lembongan Area
We reach out to Desa Halls (North Bali, Songan, and Lemongan Area), where we provide essential insights on the enrollment process for SMK/SMA for grade junior high school students, and information on available tertiary educations, apprenticeships, and career options for senior high school students.
English Club for Underprivileged Students in Impoverished Communities
In December 2023, we conducted an assessment to evaluate the English Speaking and Listening Proficiency of students set to graduate in June 2024. Based on the test result, we found that 67.71 % (55/85) of the Year 12 students exhibited significantly limited skills in speaking and listening. Most of these students aspire to pursue careers in hospitality or other fields requiring strong English Language skills.
We are developing an English Club to elevate students' spoken and listening capabilities in response to this identified need. We plan two weekly sessions, facilitated by professional educators, aimed at training and focusing on English Speaking skills. Classes will be a mix of online and face-to-face teaching.
BCF Expo Days: Grade 11&12 Students
The Year 11 & 12 Students Information Expo is strategically designed to empower students with the knowledge and confidence to make informed decisions about their post-secondary education and career paths.
We invite speakers from the Universities, Hospitality colleges, successful Business Owners in Bali, and accomplished BCF Alumni to describe careers in their workplace. Students can conduct interviews with entrepreneurs, professionals, and industry leaders to gain insight into their respective industries and understand how these fields align with students' interests.
Site Visit to Hotels
The experience of a site visit to a company or hotel is invaluable for students. Throughout the visit, students can observe the operational workflows at the potential future workplace. Furthermore, they can ask the experts in the host company questions, gaining deeper insight during the tour.
